Model United Nations

Model United Nations started in ETSS Wicklow in 2019.  Our first ever in-person WICKMUN was held April 2023 with just over 200 delegates from schools around Ireland. Our conference is student led with our Senior students designing the rules and procedures of the debate. Our staff MUN coordinators James Hayden and Ceire Hatton oversee the overall running of the debate.  WICKMUN is always held in April and will be held this year from the 19th - 20th of April.  We welcome young people 13-18 years old from across Ireland to show off their debating skills and knowledge of International affairs. While also welcoming those who are new to MUN to build up their skills and learn from others in a friendly and welcoming environment.

New Schools

WICKMUN prides itself on welcoming schools who are completely new to MUN, while also awarding those who have years of experience of MUN.  No student is ever put down for making a mistake and chairs are conscious of the varying debating abilities of the students attending on the day.  We promise to do everything we can to help and assist new schools in learning about the complex and exciting world of MUN.  Please see or FAQ section for further information.
